Not the best quality, but gets the job done. March 17, 2010

When I first opened the box and seen this flimsy little piece of plastic I was like great there is no way that this is going to be able to support the weight of my computer (15' MacBook Pro). But it does and it is really sturdy, my laptop does not want to slide off or anything. The fans are quiet and get the job done. The blue light is a nice touch. Over all it isint the best product on the market but for the price you can't pass it up if you don't need a really really good one that you are always using.

It works like a cooling pad should. It keeps your laptop an inch or so off the surface it is resting on to create more air flow. It has three fans that blow air on your components and thus keeps it cooler. My laptop was running at 75 degrees F, when I was gaming or streaming to my xbox. I got the pad and now it stays around 63 degrees F. Just remember about any piece of equipment it can not get any cooler than the air around it. Just because it is cold outside and you want it 75-80 in your house, does not mean that you components do. The design is ok. I wish the lights had a switch to turn them off. The led lights are very fragile they are only secure by there ridgid wires, so getting them bent and touching the fans is easy if you place the pad on top of bulky iteams I.E a remote or a lighter.

Its nice. Accomplishes whats its supposed to do. But I would strongly recommend to invest in something a little more sturdy. If you are short on cash, then its your money's worth. But otherwise the item itself is made of cheap plastic and not very strong. And hard to use it in lap or bed because the fan does not have a "grill" at the bottom because of which the bedsheet keeps getting stuck in the fan. Otherwise for $10 its a nice thing.

It works really well keeping the laptop cool. I have a mostly stationary laptop (Dell XPS, big laptop!) kinda tucked into a cubbyhole. I didn't want it to overheat like my last one so I bought this to put under it. It works great for keeping it cool, haven't had any issues. I like how it turns off when the computer turns off since it runs on the USB power. However, after about 2 months now, one of the fans has started dying and is making a horrible racket. I'd rather not just pull the wire off of it, but I'll probably do that. It's quite loud for such a small fan. The other two are still very quiet. I guess I expected to get more than 2 full-functioning months out of it.
